Susceptible To Scratches
Wife had them since July 2025. They are very comfortable, very clear, and look great. Frame is a big improvement over the prior generation Hookipa. Her only complaint is that they aren't very scratch resistant, having already taken a scuff right in the middle of her field of vision that came from placing down on a smooth granite kitchen counter. I own about 10 pairs of Maui Jims and they all get rugged use and come back asking for more. These new Ultra lenses aren't like that, they are sharp and clear but I guess you compromise hardness for the other qualities.

Ho'okipa Ultra
This is my 5th pair of Maui Jim"s. The lens on the Ho'okipa Ultra is amazing revealing colors. The color resolution is exceptional. Light and comfortable.
