Superior Sports Lens

Again from MJ lens, a perfect score. This brand never ceases to impress in the slightest. I was looking at attaining new lighthouse lens becuase mine have been scratched over the past few years. My friend offered a vast new upgrade: the Ho’okipa Ultras. Keep in mind, they are larger around the face with longer arms. The lens seems to wrap a little further around the corner of the eyes, giving the user more shaded peripheral vision. There is a thin layer of plastic that is part of the frame, behind and on the top of the lens to give you protection from those sneaky rays that want to make its way to your eyes. The nose pads are more durable and grabby than the lighthouse. They may not be as light as the lighthouse but again, I hardly notice them on my face while running through trails in the backcountry. As far as clarity and sun protection, there is no other lens (that I have yet worn) that matches up for incredible bright sunny days on summits above 9,000ft.

Only Maui Jims From Now On

I wanted glass but the Ho'okipa Ultra has polycarbonate or what they call Maui Ultra so that is what I got. They are the purest, crispest lenses I have ever had on a pair of sunglasses. Absolutely love the color too. The pics do not do it justice.

All Day Comfort...

I really enjoy these glasses especially exercising outside. They are just as snug when profusely sweating. The new hinging is different. I had no issues with previous models and the original hinging on them. I would purchase another pair if needed.

Crystal Clarity And Fit Well Too!

The clarity is amazing, better than the other Maui Jim’s I have. My eyes are photosensitive and these help more than others. They fit my small head well too. I love the blue color too!
