Very Comfortable
I bought this for my son a few weeks ago at the start of lacrosse season. He really likes it. It stays snug on his body and is very comfortable to play in. He likes how everything can be adjusted. He’s on the thin side and it’s important to him that it doesn’t move around on his body while he runs.

Great Item! Don’t Trust Size Chart.
Probably great if you can try on first! The online size chart is extremely weird! For example- It says that a Mens small chest pad fits a 10-12 year old boy who is between 70-100 pounds & between 4’7” & 5’4” who has a chest size between 36-40 inches. We ordered online. Arrived quickly but had to go into the store & exchange for a different brand/size since the size guide misled us.

Less Restrictive Than Stx Men's Cell Lacrosse Shoulder Pads
Originally purchased the STX Men's Cell Lacrosse Shoulder Pads, but when my son (16 yr old high school player) tried them on, he found that every time he lifted his arms, the entire pads lifted up and the velcro portions started to open up - overall, they restricted his movement too much. Would have been nice since the STX pads appear to offer more protection for the arms, but we went with this Maverick pad because he had better movement and he is happy with the Maverick EKG speed pad after wearing for a month.

Good Value...but A Bit Bulky
Purchased as this design is the new requirement to participate in LAX. When you put your head down with a helmet on the facemask actually hits the sternum pad and pushes the helmet up. This could be unique physiology of course. We tried to find the least "bulky" pad we could so this may just be inherent with the new design as they are now.
