Tore Open On 2nd Trip But Dick's Resolved Quickly

The bag tore open at the zipper on just the second flight. It is no longer usable. For $200, they should sell a better product. Unacceptable! UPDATE, 2 HOURS LATER: Dick's accepted the return immediately and I traded this bag for another brand. 5 stars for Dick's! 1 star for the Maxfli bag.

Got 2 And Both Broke First Time Using

I bought this in early 2025, and it broke the first time I used it, on the way to the airport. I returned it to Dicks, and they exchanged it without any issues. Six months later, during my next trip, the material along the zipper ripped. I took it back to Dicks again, but they told me they don't accept returns after such a long period. So, I threw it away. It only had one use and broke both times. I like Dicks, but if you do buy this, I recommend getting the extended warranty if it's available. *** I never contacted Maxfli, so they might have honored their product.

Product Failed And I Wasn't Even Using It

I bought this bag and used it one time. Granted it was 2 years ago, but I stored it in my garage. The garage is insulated and the bag was not subject to direct sunlight. When I pulled it out to use it last week, the straps for the carry handle were rotten and totally disintegrated. This should not happen. I might not have written this review if I had not seen others who had issues with the straps. For the price I would not expect this problem. Don't buy this product. Something as simple as poor straps should never happen given the durable quality of modern fabrics.

I have purchased 2 of these bags over the past 5 years. The straps are simply under-engineered. First one lasted about 3 years without any issues then the handle straps broke while on a trip. Bought another one and that one didn't make it 2 years. All straps except the one at the bottom of the bag broke while on a trip. Only took about 2 trips per year.

Do Not Buy

I bought this travel bag for $218.49 on Sept 17th 2025. After my second trip at Christmas 2025 (100 days after purchase), AND ONLY the second time used, the travel case fell apart (see pic). Dicks will not return nor swap for a new one. Dick's return policy is 90 days, this is a product that "might" be used 2 times a year, at least for me. I will no longer shop at retailers that do not stand behind what they sell. They have far more influence on manufacturers than individual customers. DO NOT BUY. Love This Travel Bag! Light And Compact!

Bought this for a recent flight and it worked perfectly, easy to carry and stow!

Poor Quality

Had this one year, the zipper broke 6 months in, then the plastic clip and this week the handle for the top of hard case broke. Can’t recommend this.

Good Product For The Price

Took this bag on my recent trip to Europe and the clubs survived 4 flights. Bag has enough capacity to hold all my clothes and golf shoes too, which is nice. The zippers are sturdy and overall construction seems solid. Time will tell but for the time being I'm very happy with the purchase.

Bag Tears/rips Easily In Baggage Handling

This bag is terrible, and is ripped when going through baggage claim. I tried to take it back, but Dick’s said the bag had been abused. Do yourself a favor and buy a hard shell case. This bag does not stand rough handling by baggage claim. The interesting thing is that, even though they wouldn’t give me my money back, they gave me a new travel case to replace the old one. The problem is, I wanted my money back, and they wouldn’t do that.

Horrible

Horrible product. I bought at Christmas time for my son so he could bring his clubs on spring break with us. We used the bag one and the handle broke off. I brought it back to Dick’s and they will only give me $49.99 for it because it’s not in their 90 day window. I paid $200 for this. Do not buy this product!
