The zippers on this bag are very good, and go almost the whole way around. There is a separative flap inside which can be folded down if you don't want to separate your shoes. This flap even has a zipper, but unless you wear very narrow shoes you can't stash flip-flops in there, although it will fit socks, a wallet, etc. The fabric seems durable, and this is overall a good shoe bag for carrying around. However if you're just looking for a way to keep your shoes in your luggage, there are cheaper options out there.
