Ball Split

I purchased the Maxfli Tour X golf balls from Dick Sports on March 29, 2026. I played the ball 4 times. The last round I hit a tee shot and heard a strange sound. When I got to the ball it had a big crack. Not great and never had this with Titleist

Surprised By Performance

Read some good reviews and decided to give it a try. Previously played Bridgestone Tour B XS. From the Tee I loss some carry distance but we are talking around 5 yards on well struck driver, on missed hits behaved similar as XS. Different sound on impact on all clubs more brittle on the face and penetrating air turbulence on well compressed shots. Around the greens if you want stopping power you have to be pure on pitch shots, the XS was more forgiving and responsive around the greens but it is a "spin model". The biggest difference was on Mid to Long iron shots this ball will take one big bounce forward and then stop, while the XS I would back spin a 4 iron. Ball flight is not as high as I was expecting and it penetrates well on windy days when playing a knock down shots. Putting took a little to get used to it since Maxfli is firmer and seemed to jump off the face of my putter and I had to focus more on tempo, it does have true roll from the putter. One ball will last 18 holes with a few scuff marks but didn't seem to affect the ball flight much, while other softer model balls I would destroy in about 8 holes from compressing the ball on full short iron and wedge shots.

I have been looking at different ball options to move away from the more pricey option that I have been playing. Recently playing a ball that is direct to consumer not available locally only through mail order I found challenging even though that ball played very well for me i wanted something I could just pick up easily. Since putting this ball in play i have found it performs very well for my style of play from tee to green.

Worth The Money

Playing to a 4 hdcp this summer and these are as good as anything on the market for a senior golfer with moderate swing speed. The price, quality and quantity make this the best offering out there.

Highly Underrated...a Must Try.

Maxfli Tour X exceeds expectations. Though on paper I may be just barely at the clubhead speed for these, I am starting to buy in to higher compression leads to higher ball speeds. For me, it is in fact true...I have measurably picked up 5-7 yards through the bag vs. a Srixon Z-Star. At 95 mph with the driver, these are performing great. Plenty of spin around the greens, with low spin off the tee. I can flight this X ball down when needed better than the Pro V1x, Srixon XV and the TP5x surprisingly. It does not feel as hard as you think a 100 compression ball should either. Lastly, VASTLY more durable than any other X version I've tried this year from major manufacturers (I have tried them all and there is no contest on durability.) I played one for 54 holes before taking it out of play. Very underrated ball in my opinion and one of the best I've tried in 40 years of playing, and note, I haven't even spoken of the price which is an added bonus...shhh, so they don't raise it!

Ball Is Consistent And Plays Above It Brand
