Rated 5 out of 5 by from Tough as nails Don't let the price discourage you. It's worth every penny! I spooled my 2500 daiwa fuego up with 8 pound ultragreen maxima mono and it didn't disappoint. I went to obx and fished off the pier for blues. Constantly flipped 10-15 inch blues over the edge of the pier and it held them on. Only ever breaking off once to a nice 20 inch blue, but that's my fault for using such light line. But even then it held up until I tried flipping it, only getting about halfway up the pier. Again my fault for even attempting that. But what really sold me was being able to catch an 18 inch Spanish mackerel that peeled line out like it was it's job. It went toe to toe and only being 8 lb line too. I will only buy maxima mono from now on.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Better than most I use Maxima ultra green for Trout, (stream and Lake) also some perch, Bass. this line is awesome for catching fish, it does not need to be replaced every year (like most) it is subject to being a little abrasive in rocks, (compared to P-line.
