Decent

Not sure how tight this should be. Bought a large for my 8 year old so it wasn’t so tight on him. He likes it, but tough to gauge how protective this piece is over the chest. I’m sure it’s better than nothing.

Comfortable Fit

Bought these a few weeks ago and my daughter could immediately feel a difference in the quality compared to her old gloves.

Hex Padding Is Poor Quality

I bought this a month ago. My son used it one tournament weekend. The chest padding became loose after the first wash. The little hex pieces bunched up and gathered all in one spot almost making a ball. The padding was no longer flat against his chest and there was no way to make it stay flat as the little pieces moved all about. I bought another one of these for my other son and his is doing the same thing. Poor design by McDavid on this one.

Lightweight, easy to wear under jerseys without being bulky

My son feels very comfortable in this sternum shirt. I feel like it has the protection it needs if he were to get hit in the chest.
