Easy To Wear
The BOA laces make it very easy. Take the shoes on and off, and dial in the lace tightness to exactly what you want. The BOA laces, however, seem to lack the compressive power for a tight fit for rough outdoor conditions. There shoes are awesome for daily wear.

Boa Lacing Affecting Heel Lockdown
Beautiful and well constructed trail shoes. Did not find the Boa lacing extending far enough toward my ankle to hold down my heel. Could not get my heel to lock down, even when inserting thicker insoles. Seems a bit of a design flaw, as I do not have any problem locking down my heels in my Altra and Brooks trail shoes. Really wanted to like for rainy day hikes and training, but heel lifting is a recipe for blisters and wearing out socks.

Warm, Comfortable And Easy To Use.
The Merrell Agility Peak 5 Boa Gore-Tex is a comfortable shoe that's very quick and easy to use. The Boa feature is very convenient to have your shoes on and off quickly. The waterproof feature makes your feet feel warm but comfortable. The waterproof feature so far has kept my feet or socks from getting wet. I very much enjoy this shoe. The only downside is if you want the shoe very snug them it probably would be best to not do the Boa option. Regular shoe laces feel more snug and you can make the shoe have a tighter fit. However, I love the Boa feature and think it makes the shoe snug enough. I wear the shoe everyday and I very much like the convenience of the Boa system.
