These are not your favorite Chameleon's you have purchased in the past. The rubber is hard, its like walking on concrete. I have been wearing Chameleon's for 20 years, and the old pair is just getting worn out. So sad they have messed up these shoes. They used to be so comfortable, even new out of the box, that I didn't even know I was wearing them. Now the rubber is hard, Its like walking on concrete, and they seem to be taller at the ankle as I can feel them rubbing the bottom of my ankle.

Bought For Use On A Recent European Cruise.

Great shoe...stylish and comfortable. Second time purchasing this shoe. Will do so again in the future.

Defect In Product?

I've owned different styles of merrell hiking shoes/boots since 2003. I have praised them for fit and wear,up until now. I've owned at least 8 pairs of chameleon along with a dozen other styles. Recently I had to send back 3 pairs of size 8 chameleon ( my favorite style). One pair of black and white, to big and wide two more pair 1 butternut and the other earth.both fit fine but the left shoe had a terrible pressure point in the arch where the heel meets. Then I start reading complaints from others about the same spot. Based on you still selling a defective product when others prior to me had complained you will no longer have me as a customer.

Decent Light Walking Trail Shoe

The shoes feel very comfortable when just walking around. However, they are tough to get my foot into, and when I'm on the decline, my foot slides around a bit and I can't seem to get the laces tight enough for the support and comfort that I'm used to with Merrells
