Not Fully Waterproof

Bad Boot Eyelets And Even Worse Warranty

Like the fit, the weight, the traction and the quick on and off what I didn’t like was after about a year the eyelets on my boots started to fail when looking up the warranty, the boot eyelet were about the only thing not covered

Merrell Quality Has Gone Into The Trash

This is a tale of two sets of Merrell boots. I purchased a set of black tactical boots approx 7 years ago and they lasted me nearly 4 years. The only reason I replaced them was because the soles had worn out. I replaced them with the same model of boot, only in tan. I've worn the tan pair for approx 2 years now and you can see the result. They have not held up nearly as well. I've used both pairs as a flight crew boots so their exposure to the elements have been limited, but the difference in quality between the newer and older pair are quite evident. This problem is not limited to these boots either. I've owned several pairs of Moab hiking shoes, and they have demonstrated the same decline in quality. Look at the pictures, the difference between the older, used 4 years (black) vs the newer, used 2 years (tan) are clear. Buyer be warned...
