Great Shoe But No Traction On Older Wet Sidewalk

I never buy shoes online, but made an exception for these. They were a perfect fit right out of the box. Been doing a lot of walking ( 5-8 miles a day ) they're very comfortable. The only issue I've had is on sidewalks with a very worn surface ( where the pebles in the concrete are showing ) and its raining or has been wet they are very slippery, they have no traction .

Discontinued Merrell Shoe

I love these shoes for everyday use and for trail hiking. I have bought at least 6 pairs and wear them out over time and get new ones without looking at any others. That is because they work so well for me. But Merrell is discontinuing them which is a total bummer. I will have to go out and test all the brands now for the new perfect shoe.

Durable, With Tough Soles

So far so good. Wore them to explore Tikal and Antigua in Guatemala, didn't twist any ankles! Very stiff rubber on the soles though, and despite how they look, they are somewhat slick on hard surfaces. Especially wet hard surfaces.

Want some rugged Merrells that look smart? These are my only Moabs that I won't take to the dog park! I want to keep the claws off the leather. Plus, it is good to have a pair that isn't covered in mud. Same epic arch support and traction. Love.
