Nice Looking, Not Very Durable

Have had these for a little less then a year. Wear them for work in law enforcement. I switch out my boots so I don't wear them every day. The soles/tread is already worn down. The "waterproof" Gor-Tex is not actually water proof. These are my 1st Gor-Tex boots and they are not what I expected

Uncomfortable

Hate these boots. Really narrow in the middle, like foot is being squeezed. Toe box is wide enough but boot is long and pointy. Had the speed strike 2 non goretex before these and they were very comfortable, just not durable. I hate putting these on every day. Have had 8 Merrell boots in the last 5 years, either they're comfortable and last 6 months or they're uncomfortable and I suffer for 6 months until they fall apart. The boots are not durable anymore.

Nice And Light

I always start by just wearing hikers to church on Sundays, I just recently started distance distance in them. They are super comfortable and nice and light. I got this pair because I hike over 15 miles every day and I am seriously considering jogging lately. These shoes I hope will inspire me to jog

Quality Product, Nice Choice Of Colors

I have found this mid boot to be the most comfortable so far. Due to back/leg/foot issues I try different inserts to make a shoe comfortable. I found by removing the Merrell insert and putting in 2 different Dr Scholl's, Air-Pillow and Extra Comfort it made this boot comfortable for me. I'm ready for my Ireland and Israel trips next year.

Faulty Rivets

I do not recommend this product due to a design flaw in the lacing system. I purchased these hiking boots approximately three weeks ago and have worn them only a few times. During one of my hikes, the rivet on the right boot became entangled with the laces on the left boot, causing me to trip. Fortunately, I was using trekking poles and was able to prevent a fall. Upon inspection, I also noticed that the rivet had torn away from the right side of the boot. Given the limited use and the nature of the issue, this raises serious concerns about the product’s safeness and reliability.
