I bought this pair to wear for work. They worked great for my carpentry business.

Favor wear while working in hospital. Comfortable and I previously broke several bones in my foot a few years ago. I own multiples of this one now.

love my MTL Long Sky. They are super comfortable and great for cross training / trail running.

I have a couple of pairs of Merrell Mixmaster shoes. I have mostly worn them out having had them so long and I have wanted something from Merrell that was equally light. The Long Sky 2 shoes fit the bill. I don't think they are quite as light but I think they may be a bit more rugged in construction. It takes getting used to the nature of the slip in bootie style shoe but they do cradle your feet well and give very good support and best of all they are very light and that equates to all day comfort.

I love everything about the shoe aside from the poor durability of the upper mesh in toe box. I’ve had two pairs developed huge tears in the toe box mesh, not from running through brush. Just normal trail wear, rest of shoe and tread in great shape.
Love the roomy width of the shoe. Love the firm support of the sole (I don't like especially gushy shoes, like New Balance tend to be). Love their light weight. And, I have found them to be quite sturdy. The Long Sky 2 has all the important features you want -- properly anatomically designed, sturdy and light weight -- and none of the gimmicks.

This my 4th pair of shoes. I love them. I do tough mudder runs. They work great for the run.

I trained and raced in these for a trail 100k and I was pleased. We ran on mostly dirt and pine bed trails but plenty of roots, rocks, snow, rain and mud and these babies pushed through it all. They are not a padded sneaker but fit nicely on my feet. It took two shorter runs to get used to the less cushion sneaker but, in the trails, they felt perfect. The only reason I will not give a 5 star review is the tearing which turned into holes just inside of where your big toe is. It is exactly where the sneaker creases. See pictures. I did get 567 miles out of them which is great. I would be able to get more if they didn't rip. What is the warranty like for these? 😆

Not a max cushioned shoe. Not too comfortable. Insole is very thin. Replaced with a better insole.

One day in Universal Studios and I’m glad I bought them. Incredible support.
