Good For Cold City Commuting

Great for city commutes. The slight insulation keeps your feet warm without needing extra thick socks. They’re comfortable to walk in and trudge through muck very well while adding traction on ice. The caveat being the height. On one day of deep snow in Chicago, they did let in a bit of snow if you step in too deep. But they’re not advertised as being true snow boots, so it’s not a knock on them. They will convince you they’re invincible though. So know the limits.

Perfect For Me

Love these! I use them for clear or mostly clear walking with compressed or little snow down to about 15 degrees with heavy wool Darn Tough socks. Over mid 30s I switch to GTX trail shoes. These are soft with tough Vibram treads. Very durable and plenty of grip for me. I have not gotten them soaked but I did treat them in case. I have other boots for super wet, snowy days. These are for dryer miles in town or easy trails. The feel like tennis shoes and are super light. Nothing else like them on the market that I found. I hope they make them forever.

Boots

Comfortable right away. No break in time. Haven't really worn them in the rain yet

Ready To Go

Can't wait to try these out. Not much snow, or cold this past year, so they didn't get any use. But they feel great on, comfortable and secure. I've had good luck with Merrell products, so I feel confident with these boots.
