Good Arch Support

I have some fascia / metatarsal pain in my left foot. These shoes have great arch support especially under the ankle. Foot pain is gone when I wear them.

Just bought my second pair of Nova 4 waterproof, really like them!

Best Shoe Around

A year and a half ago, I needed to replace my shoes I used for officiating soccer matches. I did a lot of research and purchased (and returned) many other brands. The Merrell Nova 4 Waterproof was the one I did not return; and I am very happy with that decision. The shoe is very comfortable for long days on the field with enough room for my thicker socks. The Gore-Tex is great for those rainy days or dewy mornings. The large lugs on the sole are terrific on both artificial turf and real grass whether wet or dry. These are better shoes than any of the "referee" shoes listed by other companies. After more than 150 games, I need to replace them with only the heel support padding (internal) and fabric around the collar wearing out. My second pair has just been ordered!

Rounded Toe Box Is Great.

Rounded toe box is great when i went up a half size. Very comfortable. Upper is not as sturdy as some models ... but I am not paying for leather uppers. Nor are my ears young enough to hear the squishy dound that the waterproof layer makes. Great shoe.
