The fit is excellant. Due to the lining it runs just a bit more snug and much warmer than my non-waterproof Nova 4, so I either wear them barefoot or with a very thin sock. I doubt I would wear them in any dry/hot climate - that is what my normal Nova 4's are for. Great forefoot room but not sloppy. I don't run but the walking stability, cushion and traction are perfect for me. I have not yet encountered them in slippery mud. I am 72 y.o., 6'2" 200 lbs, size 13. I have the blue/purple pair and get a lot of compliments on them.
Very comfortable, not stiff, excellent support. I can wear them all day and not suffer any or a least minimal foot fatigue. Great traction and stability on varied surfaces.

Too Narrow and Waterproof Materials Sounds Like a Unwrapping a Candy with Each Step. Returned

I’ve had these shoes for 5 months and they are not waterproof and have ripped in four spots where the material is sued into the rubber. Not worth the money spent!! Absolute garbage.

So far very comfortable. Haven't tested them on the trail yet.
This shoe is flexible and comfortable. Hard to believe its actually waterproof.

Super comfortable and lightweight. Paired with Feetures socks on my overseas trip. Recommended!

Been on several walks and hikes appears to be a very good shoe. Light and comfortable

Great for average trails, for more technical trails get something with more teeth

It’s like they fixed the collapsing heel issue that the Nova 2’s and made the perfect shoe with the Nova 3’s, and then thought it would be good to ruin them again and bring back the heel issue for the 4’s. Why??? I had 3 pairs of 3s and loved them, and my 4s didnt even make a whole summer hiking season before the left heel wore down so much they’re unusable unless I want to be unbalanced and get weird soreness and pain from hiking/running like that. So disappointing and I will probably look at Altra or something else for my next pair.

This is my second pair of Merrell Nova waterproof. I had the Nova 2 before, and even though they felt a bit snug they were still the most comfortable shoes I had ever owned. This time I decided to go a half-size larger, and they're perfect--snug and roomy in all the right places. I am a picky, picky shoe guy, and Merrell just knows my feet!

Bought shoes a half size larger and still ended up with swollen and soar toes. My toes are so tender it hurts to walk almost a week after the 50k.

Much lighter than I expected and the laces actually stay put unlike other trail shoes I've tried. Also, one of the few options that uses laces, not the one piece cable style which doesn't work for me.

My preferred brand is Hoka, but they don’t make water-resistant shoes with Gore-Tex in Wide sizes. The very helpful young salesman pointed me to the Merrell’s and I couldn’t be happier!

The shoes started out great, were definitely waterproof and fit well. However, after 2 total days of wearing them, the rubber at the toe tip began to separate. By the end of the second day it allowed water to get inside and became difficult to use in a rainy setting.
