Happy Hubby
I purchased these for my husband for a two-week trip in which we did a lot of walking. He kept commenting on how comfortable these shoes were. He absolutely loves them!

Speedarc Matis White Runners
The shoes are very comfortable and a good fit. The only fault with them is that they come with very thin laces attached to a sliding toggle which tightens as you pull it. You then have to tuck the toggle under the tongue of the shoe so it doesn't flap about. A bit of a nuisance and conventional laces would have been much better.

Quality Tested By Whomst?
I bought the white and green ones about 3 months ago. The material is not meant for trails or concrete it's peeling at the sides. I love the style, but the price is outrageous for the poor quality.

Inferior Lacing/materials But Good Sole Protection
Pros: great shock protection with built in foot plate for rocky trails Cons: lacing system allows disruptive gaps in shoes around ankles. Materials showing extensive wear after first 10 miles of mountainous trails.

Not Worth The Price Tag
So not worth the money. I have less then 25 miles into these shoes and they will not last another 25 miles. I never believed people that would say their shoes fell apart right after getting them. I owe them all an apology. I am walking trails in the woods. Mostly bushwhacks. No concrete or tarmac. And no scrambling boulders. Just plain old pine needles and a few mud pits (Northern Adirondacks). The vibram sole is wearing put at an alarming rate. And the sole is practically disintegrating in front of my eyes. These are made to be used on carpets or maybe working retail or a cash register. Nothing strenuous. I will say they do feel really really comfortable. But do you know what else feels really really comfortable? 500 other brands shoes that are half the price. At the price point Merrell is marketing these at and for what you actually get for that price.....hard pass. Not worth it. There is absolutely nothing special to these that a big box store shoe will do for half the price. Adios Merrell. I just cant with you anymore. If you keep jacking up the prices and lowering the quality then its time for me to move along. We had a good run though. Heck. Put of the 587 mountains I've done, you have been there for probably around 300 or so. Not to mention 1000+ trails and other walks.
