Hot Spots

Foot fit was right on. Was a huge H---A fan but developed hot spots and my dermintoligist said get new shoes!!! No hot spots!

Poor Quality

Wore these shoes for about two weeks, and they are completely trashed. I went to a music festival in Vegas and another in Washington. Washington had more rough terrain but majority of the time I wasn’t doing anything crazy. So for barely two weeks of owning them and how worn out they are, not at all impressed.

Comfort

Very comfortable and great support for walking and standing for long periods. More comfortable than the hiking shoes Merrill 3.

Solid Shoe, Came Imperfect

Shoe is comfortable but the green cushion part came all torn as if someone had already worn them and there was a couple stains on the fabric mesh

Great Shoe! Support, Cushion And Style Are Awesome

Have been a Moab hiking customer for years (have about 5 pairs, although I am not sure I really wear them out vs wanting new colors, styles and high vs mid-height. These are crazy comfortable and although only have about 20 miles on these new shoes, they may just be my new favorite. Just bought another pair to use for everyday (replacing a pair of HOKA's).

Slightly Heavy

These are QUALITY shoes with a capital "Q". That said, they are a little heavy which they WOULD be for trail walking, but I walk on asphalt in my neighborhood almost 100% of the time, so I do not need the extra weight. The shoes ARE very comfortable!

Nice Narrow Fit And Comfortable

These shoes are narrow. I have narrow feet so I really like them. Very comfortable. The looks are questionable but in mostly black it hides some of the weirdness.

Really Satisfied With These For Daily Wear.

I really don't bother taking time to write reviews but I have been pretty impressed with these Speedarcs. I did not buy these for hiking or running so this review won't apply to that. I purchased the Nori colorway of these in April 2026 with plans to wear them during a trip to Japan. I'm on my feet all day at work so I'm always looking for a comfortable sneaker that won't leave my feet aching at the end of the day. During the week I wore this throughout my trip I averaged walking 10-12 miles a day and these Speedarcs offered just the right amount of support and cushion for my feet. The midsole is not spongey like some of the maximum cushioning shoes I've tried (Hoka Clifton for example) so you don't get that feeling like you're walking on marshmallows. But they're not so firm that you feel like you're walking on bricks. These are more comfortable for all day wear than the New Balance 99X series shoes I have (990 V6, 992, and 993). I didn't experience any squeaking like some others have mentioned. The toebox on these is roomy and I tend to look for sneakers that have a bit wider toebox. So I would say sizing on these is true to size as I went with a 10 in these. In comparison I always have to go with a 10.5, sometimes even 11 in most Nike footwear. The one caveat is the mesh on the top of the toebox does allow water through pretty quickly. So the gore-tex version may be a better choice if you wear these in rainy weather. But overall I really like these shoes and am planning to order another pair or two in other colorways.

Where Have These Being All My Life?!?!!!!

I love my walks, runs, grocery shopping, dog walking, Spring, skipping, nature watching, impromptu dancing, stair climbing, home cooking and everything that makes me put on my Matis… my feet have never been cradled, cushioned, hugged as comfortably as when I’m wearing these. I work in a kitchen and the hours are long & the standing on concrete floors is bone crushing! My feet feel like they are on vacation once they get in these; my step is bouncy and sured, steady and determined. I am relishing the hours of adventure these Merrell’s contribute to my life.

Speedarc Matis Vs. Disney World - Speedarc Wins!

I just got back from Disney World. Over 60,000+ steps and 32+ miles in several days - Epcot, Animal Kingdom, Magic Kingdom, Disney Hollywood and ESPN Wide World of Sports... NO PAIN, BLISTERS OR CRAMPS! My speedARC Matis shoes are THE ABSOLUTE BEST! Merrell, you hit these out of the 'amusement ' park! Congratulations!

Great Shoe

Great shoe. It is very comfortable. It fits me well. I have purchased a number of Merrill shoes over the years. I always order a 14 and that was a good fit for this shoe for me.

New Shoes

Not a great shoe down the side as it is not tight as you walk, but the store exchanged for a slightly better pair

Comfy, Light, Restorative

Comfortable and light. Surprised by how light these shoes feel, has a really nice roll-through step. I had Achilles surgery and these have been really comfortable to wear now that I’m walking again. Thinking about getting the mid-height for hiking.
