Sizing Is Terrible

I’ve owned multiple versions of the TG over the years and I’ve always been an evangelist for this product. Unfortunately, that changes with the TG7. I wear size 10.5 in shoes across the board as well as in previous versions of the TG. Never an issue before, always a perfect fit. With the TG7 you’ll note that Merrell recommends sizing a half size down. WHY DO BRANDS DO THIS? It’s moronic. Just make a product with standard sizing! In any case, I sized a half size down as recommended and the 10 is still too long. I then ordered a 9.5 and it’s too short. Now i have to return them. Merrell - I recommend you stop screwing around and return to standard sizing. Too bad you couldn’t just keep a good thing going.

Great Entry Barefoot Shoes

I opted for this model as I wanted to try barefoot shoes but since my walking is mainly in the city I was anxious about too small of a cushion at the soles. While made for trail not city, these have proven to be a great transition shoes. Having worn them exclusively for the past month I am confident they will last me a while. the soles will likely go out first, but so far they look pretty good. The traction is decent both on dry and wet surfaces and they are satisfactorily breathable.
