Great Protection !
I am very pleased with my Wrapt ! I have been wearing barefoot shoes for 18 months (Vivo) and I was looking for a shoe that offered more protection for hikes on rocky terrain. These are not true barefoot shoes, they are much more substantial (and hot). They have a bit of arch support that I've gotten used to. The soles give me the protection and cushioning (and traction) I was looking for. I hope Merrell expands their barefoot offerings. This shoe is a success.

Not Quite Barefoot But Still Good
Love the square toe box, could be a little wider, the arch support is weird having been so used to minimalist and barefoot footwear for quite a while, and the back of shoe digs a little into the ankle. The waterproofing is wonderful, merrell always makes such great shoes, but this is a little over engineered for a barefoot boot.
