Beautiful

Love these shoes. I got them in dream and theyre even prettier in person. Slightly more vibrant than shown but not excessively. The only thing I dislike is that theyre kind of stiff around the ankle so I have to wear long socks or they rub but they may just need to be broken in and I also have somewhat thick ankles so other people may not have that issue.

Bring Back The 3s!

I broke my ankle very badly a couple of years ago and I chatted with Merrell after going through several pairs of shoes that did not support my foot/ankle. You guys recommended the Antora 3 and I have work them every day for the since then. Then you changed a great product for the Antora 4. I don’t know how they ware as I cant even get my foot in them comfortably. The 4s are narrow and my foot is jammed in there compared to the 3s that had a truly wide toe box and I never had a problem getting into… please bring the 3s back. I am having to look at other brands… the three were awesome!

Great Shoe For Those With A Wider Foot

Best all around show for anyone who needs a wider width!

Disappointing

I’ve bought many pairs of Merrell trail runners over the years, and this pair of antoras has me looking for other brands. The price increased with this design, but the durability greatly decreased. This latest a pair only lasted me only 3 months and now the soles have significant wear, forcing me to look for new shoes after spending my shoe budget on what I thought were trustworthy shoes. Merrell used to be a trusted brand for me, but now I’m shopping elsewhere.

Look Better On Feet Than All Previous Hikers

Antora 4: Comfortable right out of the box. I now own 3 pair, white, black, crimson. May buy another color. The change in soles, has nearly eliminated the lip of sole surrounding the shoe, so appearance on my feet is WAY better than earlier versions. My size 11 feet look like size 7-8. Huge improvement. Sole is nicely cushioned. I have discovered that they are TERRIFIC for around the house, walking in town on sidewalks, asphalt, gravel, and on reasonably good trails that relatively level or on stairs. What these are NOT are "hikers". These wobble on uneven terrain. I tried walking "cross country" across my rural acreage and they are dangerous if stepping on unseen rocks beneath tall grasses or stepping on a rounded broken tree branch. You need "real" hikers for that. These are for walking in urban/suburban areas, and walking well-groomed trails. I own many pairs of Antora and Antora 3, perhaps 10-12. I was hesitant to order these due to the change from Vibram to Merrell soles. However, I needed a pair in black, and I bit the bullet, and very pleased so far.

Super Light And Comfy.

Super light and comfortable. Wide toe box which i was looking for. It doesn't cramp your toes.

Antora 4's Not For Me

I have worn the Antora 2's and 3's daily almost exclusively for the last several years.--they were my go-to shoes for all kinds of outdoor activities and I loved them. Bought two pairs of Antora 4's and they compare unfavorably to the previous versions: thinner padding, no Vibram soles, and soles that wear out faster. Antora Version 4 does not work for me, and Merrell should have highlighted the changes when you went from Antora 3's to Antora 4's so it was not a negative surprise. Please, please bring back the Antora 3's.

Good Buy

Very comfortable, true to size and super nice. Really happy

Not A Neutral Shoe

I wore these around the house for a day and they felt okay, however when I took them on vacation they made my feet turn inward. Back home I pulled out the insoles and added different ones with different support levels and that did not fix the issue. My first pair of Merrell that I haven’t liked. I really like the look.

Great Shoes! Excellent Customer Service

After returning an online order to the store, the cashier suggested I go back to the shoe department, as their guy in the shoe dept was fabulous and I needed to go see him. I did! And am I ever glad I did. Did he ever know shoes! Patient. Kind. Knowledgeable. And funny! He found my perfect fitting shoes! Thank you Dick’s for my new shoes!

Excellent Hiking Sneakers

These were fine right out of the box for hiking in AZ. They’re very comfortable, look good, and gripped the rocky uneven terrain.

A Product That Helps Me Get Closer To Nature.

I have been wearing Merrell for years and love every product I've purchased.

Change Isn't Always Good....

I have bought at LEAST a dozen pairs of Antora shoes. They were my "go to" shoe and the only thing that alleviated my heel spur pain. The original Antora, Antora 2, and Antora 3 were all great, but the Antora 4 does not have the comfort, back heel cushion, or overall stability of the previous versions. If you LOVED the previous versions of this shoe, please take this into consideration before purchasing the Antora 4.

Toe Guard Not High Enough

Really cute colors this year and comfy soles. They fit perfectly but like other reviewers my big toenail gets hooked on the edge of the toe guard with every step. Either the toe guard needs to come up higher or the fabric on the toe needs to be much stiffer. As-is the mesh fabric is very soft and flexible so my big toe pops over the edge of the stiff rubbery guard and my nail hooks slightly on the way back down. And yes, my toenails are trimmed back. There's not enough length for me to size down, sadly.
