Not Waterproof

I'm so disappointed with the Moab 3 boots. I've only had them for 6 months and they are no longer waterproof. I have only lightly used them over the winter months so it was a very unpleasant surprise when I went on a slightly rainy spring, 2 mile, hike and my feet were soaked. There was so much water in the boots that I had to pour it out. I had a pair of Moab 3 boots 4 years ago and they stayed mostly waterproof until they were just too worn out to continue wearing.

Took My Moab 3 Mids To Moab.

I ended up sizing up a full size in these because I like a lot of room in the toe box. I hiked 4 miles in uneven terrain and slick rock with elevation gain, and I’m happy to report that they did not slide up and down my heel. My only complaint was that my feet did get very sweaty-even wearing a merino mid weight hiking sock. The high temp was 77 when we hiked. Would definitely recommend these as an entry point boot.

Love These Moab 3 Boots!

The 3/4 mid boot provides support and flexibility on rugged terrain. With a decent toe box on the wide width and no pinching, these breathable boots are comfortable to wear both on and off the trail. I now have a pair for trail walks/hikes and a second pair for every day use when I just want a little extra traction and comfort with prolonged time on my feet, especially in snow-covered conditions.

Not Waterproof. I bought these for my wife as a sturdy and lightweight boot that was also advertised as waterproof.. She complained that her feet were wet after light rain or walking in muddy conditions. I tested myself by spraying water from the kitchen sink on the toe section of the boot and it took less than a few minutes to see the inside sole of the shoe wet.

Hiking Boots Actually Uses For Hiking!

Bought these boots for our daughter for a spring break trip to the Smoky Mountains in Tennessee. They were put to the test right out of the box. She said they were super comfortable, durable, gave great support. Rain, streams, rivers - her feet stayed dry!
