Not Moab 2s

So bummed!! As a diehard fan of Moab Mid Waterproof boots, gens 1 & 2, I was hopeful to love the newer gen 3. Didn't happen, even after trying two separate pairs: I found the 3s to be smaller overall with a pointier (too narrow) toe box, and a completely different feel in the arches and bottoms of my feet that doesn't work for me at all. They're just downright painful. I'm already a women's size 12 so can't try a larger size, and going wider wouldn't work for my skinny heels. Also - not necessarily a deal breaker to me but worth mentioning: the laces are super long. Even with double-knotting there's plenty ;eft over, flopping around. Hopefully my Moab 2s will carry me through until I can figure out something else.

Comfortable, not difficult to break in, cute color, and good value for the price! My only complaint with these is that they weren’t very breathable and I noticed my feet would get very hot inside them. Ironically, I visited Moab in these. They handle rocky terrain quite well with good grip and a thick enough sole that I didn’t feel rocks through them.
