Cute Boots But Not Really 'Hikers'

Got these a half size up in black based on reviews and the fact that normally I buy hikers at least that large. Ended up exchanging for my exact size since they were SO roomy (and I have wide-ish feet with a high instep!) and got the white instead since they were more 'fashionable'. Pros: cute - really cuter than the shoe version, like that they are waterproof. Cons: even my size is almost too roomy in the foot that my foot slides around even with thick socks on; not as much arch support/foot cradling as usual with my beloved Merrell jungle mocs; the soles are squeaky! Conclusion: I like them for everyday wear as the white is the trend now and they are easy to slip on/lace up but I wouldn't wear them for hiking as they don't really have the footbed features/support of hikers.

Incredibly Comfortable

Just got my Merrell hiking shoes, and they exceeded my expectations! 🌄 Super lightweight and incredibly comfortable, perfect for all my outdoor adventures!

Meh

Bought the Adobe Rose SZ 8 and wore them one season for just running errands. Not my favorite boot, not as comfortable as other Merrel boots and shoes I've worn. Also, a fabric boot lace holder broke on the third or fourth time wearing the boots.

Disappointed Despite Years Of Loving Merrell

I’ve bought exclusively Merrell boots for the past seven years, and until now, they’ve always been perfect. I work in natural resources and go through boots quickly, usually getting a new pair each year. Merrells have always been the only boots that fit comfortably right out of the box, no break-in period needed. I actually owned this exact pair a few years ago and loved them, so I decided to buy them again. Unfortunately, this pair has been completely different. I can’t walk even a mile without getting painful blisters all over my feet. I thought maybe they just needed to be broken in, so I wore them around the house, on short walks, and for errands — but even after months, nothing has helped. On a few occasions, I had to hike 10+ miles in them, and I could barely walk for days afterward. It’s such a shame because otherwise, they feel like a great boot — solid build, good support, and the same design I used to love. But the fit must have changed somehow, because these just don’t work for me anymore. Very disappointed, especially coming from a brand I’ve trusted for so long.
