This is my second pair. The other pair served as my winter walking shoes, my off-road shoes and hiking shoes. My foot is really a WW, but these are wide enough, but not with the thicker and padded hiking socks. I also use my Moabs for driving. I'm a grandmother with grandchildren in 5 different states, mostly in the Pacific Northwest area. During my travels, I could be walking on gravel, sandy ground, or concrete or asphalt.
