They are zero drop, but the footbed is not true barefoot. The sole is not flat, but contoured with arch support. The toebox is not that wide, so there is no clown shoe effect, which is ok for me, my feet are narrow. There could have been one more hook, you need to loosen the laces a lot to slide in the boot. I wear size 7 in most brands, I got these in size 7, they fit nicely. I like they're leather and lightweight, hopefully my feet won't cook in them in summer. I yet need to see how much beating they can handle in rougher terrain.
