Great Walking Shoe
Love the comfort of the shoe and that they’re also waterproof. When they get wet the suede changes colour so I place them in front of a fan to dry

Ouch
The laces around my ankles are highly uncomfortable. I am constantly stopping to adjust, so they can't dig in....even with my darn tough socks.

Really Like My New Shoes!
I love the shoe overall. I had never bought a "Barefoot" shoe before and didn't realize there is very little between your foot and the ground, so keep that in mind if you like cushioning. I use inserts, so it wasn't a big deal for me. It is an all suede shoe, so is a little warm for Summer but will keep your feet warm come Fall! I also love the traction I get from the sole, and it looks pretty cool too.

Love The Look, But!
I bought the mid height waterproof boots a year and a half ago for a 2 week hiking trip through Patagonia, both the Chilean and Argentine parts. I loved the idea of a barefoot-style hiking boot and the look was fresh! Gotta say though, these are the worst hiking boots I've ever owned. Pros: solid sole; I have hiked over a bunch of jagged, sharp rocks and didn't feel any pokes or pressure. Also, contrary to other reviewers, I felt that the sole had great traction in wet conditions. Cons: the sole is so solid that it's absolutely rigid. And it never broke in. There is nothing "barefoot" about a sole that barely bends. For a barefoot style shoe, the toe box is still very narrow, and I have narrow feet to begin with. Further, don't let the pictures fool you. The toe box has very little height to it, leaving your toes feeling crammed with even the thinnest socks. As noted, they run quite small. I ordered a 1/2 size up as suggested and apparently needed a full size up. Lastly, the toe piece separates from the suede with even the smallest kick or ding on a root or rock. 2 hikes into using these boots and both toe areas were completely mangled (see photos). Overall, wouldn't recommend. You can find barefoot-style hiking boots that are light-years better than these in terms of fit, feel, and durability.
