So Comfortable Straight Out Of The Box!

Thank you Merrell for a roomy toe box without selling me a wide width shoe. These shoes need no break-in period. I've worn them all day, on long trips where much walking was required, so comfortable. They grip well in various terrain, no slip on wet surfaces. I did follow 1/2 size up advice and it gives me room for option of thicker socks, without feeling too big for my feet. I have had compliments on them and consider them a great purchase.

I bought this a few days before a 30 day trip to Europe in November and December. While I did not encounter any snow, I did have rain on numerous occasions and there were no issues. I am in love with this shoe. It was very, very comfortable for me walking on all kinds of surfaces for really long periods of time. We were often walking 6, 7, or 8 hours a day and my feet were fine. Compare this my average sneaker, where after a daily 1 hour walk on a flat surface, I can't wait to get the shoe off. Now I did add an insert because I am used to wearing Birkenstock sandals all year and because this was the only pair of shoes I brought with me on a long trip. I don't think the insert is necessary. The only issue I have had is the shoe laces. I have to keep tying my shoelaces so I will replace those because they are too long for me or something. Otherwise, love them!
