[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this for my 11 year old spider-monkey of a son who has become obsessed with bouldering & wanted something at home to practice his holds & build hand strength on. We hung this over a doorway facing a tv so he can hang while watching SpongeBob and I can shoot him with Nerf bullets until he gives up. Super easy to install, very solid with the anchor screws & the texture is perfect.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Heavier than it looks. Solid training board. Have been using at local bouldering gym for a while so finally got my own. No complaints; would recommend

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Good product for price. Delivery was faster than expected. Found it very easy to set up and the material is very grippy that seems to be able to hold up well (won't know for a while). Nothing bad to say

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a wonderful training board, my husband loves it. It is a perfect starting point for getting back into climbing, all the differing holds offer great diversity for building up that grip strength!

I’ve used Metolius training boards for over ten years now because they are the best! Tons of hold variations and textured, rock like grip make this my primary training board.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve had the board for a few months now and haven’t had any issues with it. I’m a novice climber so I’m really only using about 30% of the board at this point, but the fact that there is so much progressive challenge left to work with means I should never need to purchase another board unless I want to switch to wood. The jugs have such good ergonomics that they have completely replaced my pull up bar, so if you own neither and want both, this board will kill both birds with one stone. The only feature it doesn’t have that I have seen on other boards are pinches, but I think I get enough of that from my visits to the gym to be fine not having them at home too. The only thing that was less than perfect was a small bit of uncolored and on textured resin splattered around at the bottom of the board that wasn’t wiped away in manufacturing before it cured. It doesn’t affect the functionality of any of the holds though, and as the Mrs. repeatedly reminds me, these things are pretty unsightly to begin with (from an interior design perspective). LSS the resin splatter doesn’t bother me. One thing worth noting is that, depending on what you plan to mount it to, you may need a panel of plywood if the mounting holes on the hang board don’t line up with your wall studs. I hung mine over a standard 32” x 80” door and used a 26” x 10” panel so that I could fasten it to the wall across two studs and still provide a flush mounting surface for the entire hang board. It came with all the hardware required to fasten it directly to a mounting surface and the instructions were easy to interpret. Installation was easy provided you have a power drill with drill and driver bits.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a good board with not quite enough hold options. Unfortunately there’s only about 3 different actually edge sizes but they holds are different widths to allow only 4 fingers, 3 fingers or down to a mono. This is kinda pointless because if you wanna train a certain amount of fingers you can just put that many fingers on the same edge instead of moving to the pockets. Another downside is that the first month on it will kinda shred your fingers. All that being said it’s a good board overall with great slopers and the ‘3d’ effect is nice on the shoulders.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love the grip on it, the range of different holds. I mounted it on a board so it'd be easier to screw into the wall and I didn't have to worry about missing studs.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Plenty of holds. Texture is good and not too rough. Ive already gone up two climbing grades in 3 weeks using this. From a v4 to v6. Love it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Was looking for a board that had a variety of holds but wasn't obnoxiously big. This fits great above a door and looks good too. Very happy with it so far.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] All around good board lots of different holds to work on strengthening, only issue with the board was the epoxy holding all the grit on didn't seem to be set, some of the grit shifted over the first few days. it has since hardened after about two weeks.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great all-around hangboard for training at home. Lots of variety of holds and depths, allows for great progression and a lot of options for different workouts.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very happy with this board. I bought this about a month ago, when my gym closed for COVID-19, to try and keep up my strength. I used to think that I had a decent amount of finger and forearm strength, but this has definitely shown me otherwise. Nice variety of holds / pockets. I'm also happy with the color that arrived - it's not as bright green as this picture shows.
