They Work Ok For Short Distances

I bought these based on the Range estimates thinking that i could easily hit a 8mile away spot, not the case i can barely get 1 mile on high power. I live in a rural are in Ohio trees few hills and such i am on high spot and so was my daughter 8 miles away. Was way wrong.

Great Features. Shame You Can't Use Them.

The battery is always dead. Charge it up all night, dead by the first radio attempt in the morning. The features are great, but they are useless if it doesn't work when you need it to. The easy remidy is to design it to work with AA batteries, but you guys are too incompetent. Disgraceful.

The radio works as advertised, RX is clear, menu is easy to navigate once the mode sequence becomes familiar. Design is very nice, not like a child’s radio. There doesn’t seem to be a single plug car charger available, only a double. Radio is not available as a single radio only as a pair. Removable antenna would be nice if legal. I am very pleased with this radio, wish I could purchase a single unit.

Not The Right Model For Me...

This is a tough review. I am sure the units are just fine but, because you cannot put AA batteries in these, they wouldn't fit our backcountry hunting. The units don't have an individual charger so I cannot use a power pack. I found the features I need for my style of hunting (T77VP5) and will be able to review these after a year of usage.

Missing A Much Needed Feature

Bought these as many people do for outdoor activities. Have a GMRS radio in the vehicle wanted a portable version. Long backpacking trips, hunting, day trips, boating etc.... Have held up to a lot of abuse on my end but also feel it lacks (what I would consider an essential feature after using) Why can I not charge these without the basestation using a USB cord from a battery bank or solar panel? It is a feature on the cheaper FRS models; honestly my fault for not looking for a feature that is on the cheaper models. But I was also not looking for FRS.
