Great For Entry Level

I bought this to put on a perception outlaw 11.5 kayak. Perfect amount of thrust for me while working my way up river to get to certain spots. Had to buy an extension arm to be able to reach from my seat.

Motor Is Ok

My review has more to do with the shipping and not the motor. I ordered it from Dicks to get it quickly. It did arrive in a day. But Dicks requires a signature for delivery. They need to make this an option. I work and can't sit all day waiting on a package. So after days of trying to intercept Fedex I finally got the motor. Only to open it and find that the prop was broken. Probably due to the way the motor is packed in the box. Remember I needed this quick. Another half day was spent trying to find a new prop locally. So, the motor is probably ok. The shipping and packaging not so much. And I won't order from Dicks again due to the delivery signature required.

Have Not Unboxed Yet, But...

it's a Minn Kota and they are pretty reliable. Plus, I would like 25 bonus points for reviewing. I plan on actually using the motor whenever Illinois weather decides to get off this roller coaster ride... Decent during the work week, freezing cold on the weekends, winds strong enough to make another Twister movie about... Gotta love it.
