Simple And Excellent Solution Bow Motor Mount

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Minn Kota Quick release bracket is a very well designed solution for mounting and Minn kota bow motor. The instructions, including the template on the inside of the box, were very descriptive and allowed for an easy install. I did discover However, that I needed to put a Backing plate under the mount to make it a bit more secure with the weight of the motor. Otherwise, it’s an exceptional solution. If there are any cons to the device, it might be the price, but considering the amount of machining and tolerances that are necessary to make it as functional as it is, the value is definitely there. I would purchase it again if needed.

I like the bracket except that the locking pin handle is plastic and easily broken. Minn Kota sent me a replacement right away, but there is no need to lock your motor on your boat. A large screwdriver and it can be easily displaced, and the lock overcame.

Was pretty easy to install, the only thing missing iis that they should have some shims in the package because there’s no such thing as a level boat with trim on them. The holes have has to exactly even in order to put the bar in the hold it down.
