Great Trolling Motor But Needs Improvements

Game Changer!!!

Put one on my Alaskan tiller two years ago. Addicted to spotlock. Have all the fancy electronics& now able to stay right on the fish. Use live bait, jig & minnow, almost exclusively for walleye & fish deep brush piles for crappie too. I know I’m in perfect position with spotlock. Like it so much I put one on my mint ‘91 Ranger Fisherman. Incredible boat control which is essential the way I fish!! Can’t do without it now.

Dont Buy It

I bought a Minn Kota because it was supposed to be the best. The motor stopped working a few days after the warrantee expired. Minn Kota told me too bad when I asked them to cover the repair under warrantee. After an expensive (read half the price of the motor) repair at an Authorized Service Center the motor ran but made a horrible noise. I returned it several times but they could fix the problem. I even recorded the noise for them. Each time I was told the problem was fixed. After the last visit the motor failed completely. Now I have to decide whether I buy a new one for $1000 or have this one repaired at a different Authorized Service Center and hope. Like I have another grand that I dont know what to do with.
