I bought this based on reviews and features. I am absolutely not disappointed in the features. Spot lock eliminated my use of anchors. I love setting a course and letting the motor run. Recording courses to return has been easy. It can be tough to find the exact route you are looking for if you have multiple saved in the same general area. My biggest issue is that I had a glitch the first 2 uses, that I can't figure out or replicate. Both times, using spot lock in very calm conditions, I noticed I was drifting and realized the motor had shut off. I couldn't turn it back on. The battery power indicator showed 5 bars, but the power switch was inoperable. I unplugged it, checked all fuses and the Minn Kota 60 amp breaker, without resolving the issue. After I got back to the dock I tried troubleshooting it further and it worked. I have no idea what is causing this glitch, but it means I can't use the motor for an extended period of time until it resets itself or whatever makes it work again in 30 minutes. I am using a brand new Minn Kota plug, and new batteries. Everything load tests fine. I've read that this isn't an unheard of issue, but on a brand new motor I'm really wondering what the longevity of this unit will be.
