Minn Kota Ulterra MEGA Down/side Imaging with Wireless Remote

About This Item

Ulterra’s Auto Stow/Deploy and Power Trim has been helping anglers make more out of their days on the water for years. Now this easy to use motor has been completely re-imagined to handle even tougher abuse. You can stow, deploy and trim Ulterra from the remote or the foot pedal, meaning you never have to touch your motor again. With a programmable foot pedal, re-engineered motor and mount, and more advanced GPS functionality than ever

FEATURES:

  • Auto Stow & Deploy: Stow or deploy Ulterra just by pushing a button on your wireless remote, foot pedal, the One-Boat Network App or Humminbird fish finder
  • Power Trim: Trim Ulterra up or down at the push of a button — on either the foot pedal, the wireless remote, the One-Boat Network App or a Humminbird fish finder. Adjust to changing fishing conditions without reaching down to your trolling motor
  • Advanced GPS Trolling System: The most-trusted navigation system in fishing. Ulterra uses GPS to control your trolling motor with unrivaled features that keep you on the fish. Set Spot-Locks, record paths, control speed and steering, and more. Minn Kota makes boat positioning and control automatic, and you can take command from the easy-to-read LCD screen of Ulterra's wireless remote
  • Part of the One-Boat Network: Minn Kota motors come standard with everything you need to connect to select Humminbird fish finders. Link and control your trolling motor, shallow water anchor and fish finder through the One-Boat Network App on Apple® or Android™ devices
  • Spot-Lock with Jog: Spot-Lock will hold you in place with unparalleled GPS accuracy. Spot-Lock gives you the power to stay right on top of any productive fishing spot, without touching your trolling motor. With the built-in heading sensor, you can use Jog to move your Spot-Lock location five feet in any direction
  • Drift Mode: This new feature automatically engages speed and course control simultaneously, meaning anglers no longer need to depend on drift socks, kicker motors, or manual operation to control speed over water – even in the heaviest wind and current
  • Built-In Dual Spectrum Chirp Sonar: Keeps your transducer and wiring completely concealed and protected running everything through the trolling motor's shaft. By covering a wide range of frequencies, Humminbird®'s CHIRP produces more accurate, more detailed returns of fish, structure and the bottom than traditional sonar
  • Heel-Toe Programmable Electric Foot Pedal: Stow, deploy and adjust the trim on Ulterra, all from the foot pedal — plus a user-programable button to keep the most used features a tap away, including: mark a waypoint, engage AutoPilot, or deploy or retract Minn Kota shallow water anchors. Includes 18' cord
  • Digital Maximizer™: Provides up to 5 times longer run time on a single battery charge. These variable speed trolling motors let you dial in your exact speed, and they deliver only as much power as you need, helping to conserve your battery for a full day of fishing
  • Indestructible Composite Shaft — Guaranteed for Life: At the core of your Minn Kota trolling motor is an indestructible composite shaft. It's a Minn Kota exclusive, and we guarantee it for life

Quest Perfection

This new technology opens up opportunities that I would otherwise never be able to take on my guided trips.

New Features Are Awsome

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] this new quest works so great easy to use and drift mode is awsome

Great Trolling Motor

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Works great. It’s a great relief not having to manually deploy the trolling motor. I’m looking forward to exploring all of the new features available on the motor.

Great Product

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this back in May just got back from a Canada trip for a week. There are some really nice features and improvements that were made from the first models. The trim up and down feature I wish was easier to especially when you need to trim up quickly. But everything on the Ulterra worked very nice. Still learning some of the functions. I have this linked to the new Xplore 10 depth finder. Going to really like the features of these two together

Great Upgrade

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I upgraded from an older Terrova 12 volt model and couldn't be happier. I have had zero issues with the Ulterra Quest. The remote is great and does everything I wanted and more. No regrets.

Good Featers Till I Get It Figured Out.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like it so far still trying to figure it out. Like the 115 lb thrust

Well Built And Expensive

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Purchased the ulterra two months ago reason for only 4 stars the foot pedal is to clumsy for me to use I wear a size 12ee shoe and step on the wrong control exactly like my older ulterra . The motor works great as far as stow and deploy running speed and battery consumption I’m only using the remote to control need and to get a explore unit So far the new model doesn’t overturn and wind the power cord around the motor base like the previous model. I wish the foot control didn’t have such a cluttered pedal there should be a way to disengage a few on the control options on the pedal but I don’t plan on ever hooking it up unless the remote fails . In buy it again after limited use seems to be built very heavy duty

Just Do It!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This motor takes fishing to a whole new level, free's you up to manage your boat bait, your hooks or even get the wife unsnagged ha ha. The self deploy is amazing!! And the brushless thirty six volt is it beast!

Phenomenal Trollong Motor

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a phenomenal trollong motor. Tons of tork. Unprecedented boat control in any situation. With a lithium battery setup, I can easily go two to 3 days without recharging the batteries. 100 plus hours on the motor this season, NO issues. I highly recommend it! I will try to update the review at later date.

You Gotta Get One!!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had the Terrova previously and it was amazing, BUT, then I had the chance to run my buddys Ulterra one afternoon and I was hooked. But I had to one up him so I opted for the Quest brushless model. Absoultely amazing is all I can say. Its an Ulterra on steroids for lack of a better term. I have ran it for 3 days before charging and the power noticeably better. Mega down, mega side are a must have and amazing to say the least. I think I am a pretty decent fisherman, but now that I have added the equipment the guys always want jump in with me. Amazing amazing amazing if I could rate it 10 stars I would.

Outstanding Performance

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Quest Ulterra is an unbelievable asset to my fishing, in any situation, in any weather conditions, it can and does preform to the highest levels. The features on this trolling motor allow you to do exactly what you need to do when you need to do it, from spot lock to the various ways to troll, this motor is far above any other.

Xtras I Needed

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Upgraded from a Ultrex without link, wanted the auto stow and deploy and to get my one boat network set up. I was worried about the lag in the steering coming from a Ultrex, but have been pleasantly surprised. Move was a good one for me.

Love The Cruise Feature

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this Ulterra as a replacement for my 2020 Ulterra that would not upgrade to the new xplore graph. I do like the new Ulterra as it much more battery efficient and has the cruise feature which is irreplaceable. I would have rated it higher but had the connectivity issues. I would purchase again

Ulterra Quest Advanced Gps

Can the new Quest Ulterra run in the Legacy auto pilot?

Good Improvement

Background: I’ve owned 3 Ulterras from version 1 though the last version before Quest. All of them broke multiple times each.Steering modules and trim belts mostly but also a couple of trim modules. Installed the new Ulterra Quest about3 weeks ago on a Northwest style deep vee aluminum boat with a hardtop. The mount is huge and bow space is limited on this style of boat. Measure carefully before you commit to this motor. Also consider that the motor/mount protrudes very far out from the side of the boat. This iteration of the Ulterra seems to be built a lot tougher than the previous versions. The aluminum chassis looks about 3x thicker and the stow/deploy mechanism looks a lot more robust. The steering torque is many times greater. The holding torque is also greatly enhanced - will hold live image transducer mounted at 90 degrees to the motor in position even at high trolling speed (5mph for me). The motor itself is much quieter than the previous versions and seems to be stronger- at least it pulls my boat faster- about 4.5mph vs about 3.2mph. The remote control is a bit of a disappointment. The display is almost unreadable while wearing sunglasses. The buttons, especially the side buttons are stiff and difficult to press. The remote is not intuitive to me, the combination of keys is cumbersome. I'm sure I will get accustomed to it over time. Not having to charge it with that silly cable that never stayed connected is its biggest advantage from my point of view so far. Overall, I’m satisfied with the new motor. Time will tell if this is truly a more reliable motor and will let MinnKota earn back my trust.
