I'm convinced this was a faulty item as I've always had good luck with Mizuno products. Purchased the right-hand glove (left-hand thrower) for my 15-year old son. On day 1 with the glove, he played catch with my other son (10 yrs old). Within about 5 min. of throwing the lacing between the web and index finger snapped. While my 10-yr old is a beast on the diamond, by no means can he throw so hard that it destroys a brand-spankin' new glove. Maybe it was on the shelves a little too long? That's my guess. Thankfully, the store accepted the return with no questions asked and I was able to replace the glove before pre-season. Had the glove not had the lacing issues, I would give it 5 Stars.
