The Glove Technicians at DICK’S Sporting Goods understand the need to have your glove game-ready by season’s start, and are trained through a multi-step process to achieve the custom fit you need, saving you weeks of break-in time.

Our Glove PROs begin by prepping and softening the glove with a specialized conditioner, which helps open the pores of the leather to easily manipulate its shape. The glove is then placed into a steamer at specific time increments to further loosen the leather and laces, making it more malleable at key break-in points. In between steamings, the glove is pounded with a wooden mallet to loosen its hinge points to ensure an excellent fit.
