Rated 1 out of 5 by from really wanted to like, but... After three seasons of my son wearing the cheap, league-provided baseball pants, we sprung for a nice $30 pair from Dick's. He tried on half a dozen styles and these were just the right fit for a slim kid. They have double-layered knees, wide belt loops, pockets, and extra butt padding. The legs are neither too long nor too short. The fabric also seemed to be thick enough to last. They did not last. After one game, the knee fabric looked like it had been roughed up by sandpaper. After just four games, he has gone right through both fabric layers on his sliding leg. He weighs 80 pounds and slides 3-5 times a game (on well-groomed infields). In comparison, it took him all season to wear through the knee of his no-name cheap-o pair from the league. I am disappointed!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Still look like new after a muddy season We bought these pants for our son for t-ball last year and after a full season they still washed up and looked nearly new and he's wearing them again for coach pitch this season. I went off the size chart for his waist size last year and bought them just a smidge large (fine with a belt) and they still fit well this year. They're nice and thick and even a muddy ballfield hasn't stained them at all. They also work well for different heights with the pretty robust elastic around the ankles. We've recommended them to everyone on the team this year.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice pants They look good, but run a little small. We had to go buy a bigger size because they were just too tight. We bought gray practice pants & these white game pants the same size, but the white run smaller.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from MIzuno Baseball pants & sliding shorts The baseball pants have padding on the knees that protects my baseball player when sliding. Both my sons, play club baseball, will only wear Mizuno pants and sliding shorts for the comfort and padding.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love the quality and thickness of the Mizuno pants. I thought I was ordering the clemson cut leg but received the order and noticed they were elastic leg. I then went back to look at the order placed and I didn't read anything that told me it was elastic bottoms or clemson cut. I wish it had been worded differently or given a choice. I was out of time to exchange or find another pair so I ended up taking the elastic out of the legs. It doesn't look great for a brand new pair of Mizuno baseball pants but there's no elastic at the bottom.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from exactly as expected. Basic, sturdy, great fitting Great value baseball pant for the youth player. My son plays year round ball and these pants hold up admirably, they fit well and are one of the few pants that you can find anymore with elastic at bottom cuff vs. the more popular full length, no elastic model that I don't care for. These are the only pants my son (11) will wear. You cannot go wrong with these as they look great and have nice amount of padding in sliding areas and are double layered material in the knees.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best on the market We've been playing baseball since T-ball and have gone through many pairs of pants. Now we're on a club/travel team. There are less expensive pants out there, but the Mizuno pants are stronger, well sewn and can last under the abuse of a whole season. The others will tear and strech out, having to be replaced mid-season. You wind up paying more in the long run for the cheaper pants. The built in sliding pads are a plus. We actually bought two pair for tournament play.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good, Not Great Bought 2 pairs of these pants for my 8 year old when he made the All-Star Travel team. He only wears these for games, not practices - and he alternates between both pairs. We are only in the 3rd week of the season, and already they have holes in the knees. Though they are double-lined at the knee, so skin doesn't show - it's still frustrating. They should be more durable! One positive is that grass/dirt stains remove easily and they fit him well.
