There Are Not Replacement Clips To Hold Helmet Together

This is a nice catcher’s helmet, but if you break a clip on the top of the back plate that connects to the top of the catchers helmet Mizuno will not provide or sell you replacement clips. I have all of the e-mails from their customer service and they only have the wide clips not the smaller clips that hold the back of the helmet to the front of the helmet. All of the other brands sell replacement straps and clips and I would recommend buying a product from a company that wants you to continue to use the product you bought from them, not force you to buy another if a part breaks. Example: I bought this a month ago and am so happy that I did...

Good Helmet No Replacement Parts

This is a nice catchers helmet but one of the top clips that holds the straps on the back of the helmet broke and there is not a replacement clip. I contacted Mizuno and they sent me a replacement clip that took 3 weeks to arrive and was a large clip that was not what I asked for. They sent me more large clips and told me this was all they had for replacement clips. You can purchase clips for any other brand catchers helmet online or at a store. If you buy this helmet when a top clip breaks you will have to go out and purchase another helmet. The helmet is not worth it.

Good, Solid Helmet

I bought this for my daughter during her first season and she figured out that she likes being a catcher (proud dad was a catcher also). After the remaining games (5) and practices plus nonstop training (3-4 times a week) and half way through the second season (4 games) for a total of 8 months of pretty solid use, this helmet has so far held up beautifully. We have been working on flipping it off to get the ball, has had several foul tips and pitches to the mask and barley a blemish.

Great Helmet, But Not Durable

I have owned this helmet for 2 years, it fits great, works fine, but I am now trying to find a way to attach cage to head piece as the metal holders have broken, and the nuts to hold the screws are shot. I had to loctite the screws the first year as they kept coming loose. Tried to find replacement parts but no luck. Great helmet other than the durability of the face cage attachments. Probably going to try a different brand next time.

A Little To Heavy

It's a great mask. It looks good and feels good. But it's a little heavy and that can mean a lot in 100 degree weather

Good Product But....

My child doesnt like this helmet. The long chin piece makes it hard to wear. Looking down is very difficult and adjusting to fit was a hassle. It looks like we are going to purchase a new helmet

Bought this helmet for my 11 year old. Absolutely love it!!! Fits perfect, comfortable and easy to peel off.

Looks To Be A Great Helmet

We purchased 3 catcher's helmets for my 10 year old son to try. Although, the most expensive, it was his first choice hands down. It has substantially more padding than the others, especially around the face. This makes it much easier to get on and off.Haven't used it yet on the field - hence the 4 star rating at this point.
