Definitely a beginner-level paddle. Perfect if you're new to the game & want a minimal investment. Great when you're trying to just get a feel for the game. A more seasoned player would find it a little heavy and difficult to control & place shots. But, a novice or beginner player would find it meets their needs.

I tried to buy a medium rated paddle, but I have to say I was a little disappointed. First, I didn't realize that there would be such a difference in how the ball reacts to different paddles. My rental would send the ball flying with little effort whereas this one is the exact opposite. I have to really hit the ball hard to get it over the net.
