I bought this bike for my 8 year old son. He has a smaller Mongoose bike and has liked it for years, but it was time to size up. I think he'll enjoy it once he gets used to it, but for now, he finds the seat a little uncomfortable and the handlebars are a bit of a reach. That said, he's on the smaller end of the recommended height range for this bike, so hoping he'll get used to it. Will update after a few months of use. Also - this bike doesn't come with a kickstand - that has to be bought and installed separately.

Cool Bike!

Super cool BMX bike! Purchased it for my 14yr old, and he was way to tall to ride it normally, if it was just for tricks and skate park it would be great, but for riding around town we needed a Mens size!

Nice Bike For A Sporting Good Store Offering.

Nice bike. Bought this at my local dick’s for my 10 year old daughter who outgrew her last bike. Big enough to grow into it. She doesn’t do tricks or abuse i so I cannot comment on how well it holds up to jumps, just cruises thru local park paths and off curbs. It cruises nice and smooth, feels solid and pretty good quality.. Everything on it is the same spec/size as normal traditional bmx bike so any part on the bmx market will fit. . We upgraded her seat and post to a better s&m seat from our spare bmx parts bin. So far so good.

Good Bike, Especially For The Price! Good Customer Service As Well!

Great Bike and Great service at the store! I can't remember the man's name who helped me get the bike picked out but he was very helpful and friendly. For heavier riders you might need to upgrade to sealed bearings from the unsealed cup bearings for better durability, as my spindle in the crankset got bent in the first week, but I am on the heavier side and was already doing 3-4 stairs. The new spindle and sealed bearings have held durability much better so far. Other than that, make sure everything is tightened with an allen wrench, and you are good to go! Because this bike is on the cheaper end of mongoose, it doesn't come perfect out of the box as one of their higher-end models or a brand like kink or stolen would. Having said that, even as an adult rider it works great! This is not a chromoly frame bike unfortunately, but I think the extra weight of the Hi-Ten steel is actually nice for absorbing shock from street riding, whether that be jumping down stairs or going over gravel or small rocks. Overall 4/5 on the product, 5/5 on the customer service!

My first bike from mongoose and the quality is excellent. It only took about 10 minutes to assemble as most of it is already put together. Love the large pedals for extra grip.
