Excellent Looking And Fitting Garment. Cleaning It Is Kind Of A Pain.

I bought this as a replacement for a jacket I use at the office. I wanted a nice down jacket that is stylish and has material on the exterior that will resist tearing/rubbing, since my last jacket wore out at the elbow and spread its down all over the place. This “Shacket” seems more robust of a material, and definitely looks nicer with the matte material texture. The snap closure is definitely not as warm as a zipper, but that is no big deal in the office. The stretchiness of the material is great. I bought the green color and I love it, but it definitely attracts more stains than my old black jacket, and as it is an everyday wear piece for me, I somewhat regret that it has open (but tight) baffles, despite the fact they look good. Washing a garment with open baffles is a pain, and the narrow pathways of this garment’s baffles cause the down to get stuck in one spot and hard to migrate the down back into the correct spot. Overall I like this piece and it has been complimented quite a bit, but I’d advise going with black if you have children and/or you spill on yourself, since cleaning it is kind of a pain and the non-black colors do not hide stains/soiling well.
