Like always MH delivers a great product at a fantastic price. Been wanting a Patagonia R1 but found this and thought I’d give it a shot. Pros: hood, drawstring on hood, pockets, can be easily layered beneath a puffer, lightweight and packable Cons: the hood is alllmost too small (might be good under a helmet), there’s no waist drawstring so it feels like air can easily come in from the bottom. Bottom line: If you’re looking for a grid fleece and the lack of drawstring on the waist isn’t a deal breaker this is definitely worth a try.

My cooper colored Summit Grid has become my go-to mid-layer for colder days. The fit is roomy enough to wear over a base layer, and snug enough to wear under a parka or light-weight down. Feels nice and unrestrictive to climb in, and soooo comfortable. I don't leave home without it!

Lightweight and comfortable. Soft and warm. Makes an excellent travel garment for any type of travel.

+1 for slightly longer torso and sleeve length. Thumbholes preferred. Simplify the hood toggles. If MH made these changes and kept it at this price they'd have a sure winner with the hiking crowd looking for Melanzana alternatives.

Got this at the start of ski season and won’t stop taking it everywhere! Perfect layer to have when things get chilly and there’s still more uphill. Wicks and stays dry
