I have several pairs of the Dynama shorts and love them. These pants run a bit large and the diagonal side pockets tend to stick out. Otherwise, well made and very comfortable.

I have 6 pairs of the previous version of these pants and wear them constantly…daily, travel, hiking..really anywhere. But the “new” model is totally different than the last versions. And not for the better. The fabric is thicker and not as stretchy, the waist is higher, and the thighs larger than before. It makes the pull-on style almost impossible to pull up since the waist doesn’t stretch as much. And, if I size up for the waist, the thighs will look like clown pants and due to the double stitching construction will be impossible to alter. So the new fabric changes everything, the size is both TOO SMALL and TOO BIG!! The new “dark blue” color is nice but these pants DO NOT FIT the same! SO disappointed!!! PLEASE make these pants from the prior material.

As a serious hiker logging dozens of miles a week in variable terrain and weather, the Dynama™ Pant from Mountain Hardwear has quickly become a staple in my kit. These pants strike the perfect balance between technical performance and everyday wearability. Quick-Dry Performance: I’ve worn them through sudden downpours and river crossings—within 20 minutes, they’re nearly dry. The moisture-wicking fabric lives up to its quick-dry promise without sacrificing breathability. Fit & Comfort: The stretch waistband is a game-changer for long days on the trail or scrambling over ridgelines. The tapered, athletic cut moves with you without bunching or sagging, and the fit is flattering without being restrictive. No belt required—no adjustments needed. Durability & Style: Despite bushwhacking, rough granite, and repeated washes, these pants hold up exceptionally well. They’re lightweight but tough. Bonus: they’re stylish enough to wear straight into town after a hike without looking overly “technical.” Bottom Line: Whether you're thru-hiking, backpacking, or just need a reliable all-day outdoor pant, the Dynama™ delivers. It's rare to find a piece that checks all the boxes: performance, comfort, durability, and style—but this one does. Rating: 5/5 – My go-to for serious hiking and everyday adventure

Bought a few days ago and used them on a hike already. Love them. Most comfortable pants ever!

Amazing travel when you are mixing adventure and sightseeing etc. This pant can handle it all! Super comfortable and great for hiking/climbing but also have a “clean” look that is appropriate for dinner out.

I am giving this 1 star because Mountain Hard wear has discontinued tall sizes and I would like the company to take note. The low rating is not for quality. I absolutely love these pants and wish I could buy more. If you are an average height then these pants are amazing. They dry quick, are lightweight and are also durable . I have hiked hundreds of miles in them. What a giant loss for us tall ladies!! Please, please bring them back!

I packed 3 pairs of pants for a 23 day trek in Nepal which included these, the Dynama ankle version, and another very light weight pair from another brand. I used these and the ankle version when the weather started to get a little cooler. As for fit, I am a standard Medium (8) in outdoor gear and these were too. I loved the Dynamas initially for how they stretched, the tie on the bottom, and the rise for the waist. Otherwise, the waist band drove me crazy as it would not stay put and slid down constantly in the front and rear. The very thin piece of elastic at the top is not strong enough to hold them up. I was forced to rely on the flimsy non-stretch tie in the middle of the waistband to cinch them down which was annoying and not very comfortable. Also, the wash instructions are to "machine wash cold gentle". That just does not get these or any other outdoor pants clean! But the Dynamas don't look the same after the first washing and probably are not durable longer term. Want to love them but disappointed.

Currently using these on the AT. They are lightweight, dry fast, sit comfortably under my hip belt, and have a nice stretch. The cinch at the bottom is nice for hiking them up during hot days. My only complaints are the pockets could be a little bigger/deeper, and there should be more colors. I am 5'4", 150#, and have square hips and a flatter butt, usually wear between a size 6 and 8 in pants. Size small fits perfectly in these.

These are great travel pants. Easy to rinse out, fast to dry, look great dressed up or down.

I love these pants, except for the length. I’d love to see them made a bit longer. After several washes they seem to have become even shorter. I’m 5’5, so I’m not that tall. Maybe offering a “tall” version?

I own 5 pairs of these pants and I loved them but then they didn’t offer them for several years. I was excited when they came back. I recently bought another pair and but they have changed the sizing and added an internal waist tie. They are definitely bigger than the previous version and I find myself wondering if I should order an XS. I am 5’5 128 athletic build. A small always was perfect. I like the pants a bit more fitted as I am an avid hiker and I don’t want loose clothing when I am hiking or such. XS seems like it would be a bit small. I am going to order one and see.

Perfect to travel and every day in between! I’ve worn these pants Through Ecuador, Portugal, and many places in between. So versatile, they follow me through airports and travel and look fine for living in town. They require very little care and they last forever!
