Good! Not Great!

Great Rod. Decent reel, overall a good buy for the price.

Pretty Good!

Use this rod once so far but if you’re casting with some decent weight I didn’t have any problems with backlash. On the time I had backlash, I was throwing a lure and kind of deserved it. I will say the line that’s on It is kind of trash though.

Trash

waste of money, i binds up on like 2 pound fish, had it a month and the clutches for the drag gave out, "would you like to purchase the extended warranty?" naw how bad could it be???? typical box store trash.

Landed A Monster Fish

I got eleven of them no problems at all for the price you can't bet them landed a 42 pound flathead like it was a $200 rod and reel

Terrible!

This is the worse experience thus far in any reals I have ever purchased in every category. I'm so disappointed in it. I wish I could refund it after using. Terrible baitcaster!

Affordable Durable Combo

The mono that came pre spooled was kind of junky. Wanted to birds nest due to the line memory but after I stripped it off and loaded it up with 30 lb braid I have zero complaints. Casts great. Smooth and the rod is sensitive enough to make fights with smaller channel cats fun and strong enough to pull in a 40 lb flathead. Reel has a good drag too. After replacing the line its an all around good affordable rod and reel combo

It Is Great

im 14 and this was my first baitcaster worked great got a 32 pound flathead catfish with it didnt make any noise or cracking the clicker was good for bigger fish but not for little 2 or 3 pound fish ive had it for almost a year now

Constant Issues With The Spool

First baitcaster I have used for catfishing. From the first cast, I have had alot of trouble with spool overrun and tangles with line getting in the gears all of the time. I tried figuring out how to adjust the spool tension but havent had any success yet. Maybe I am doing something wrong??? I have one other brand smaller baitcaster for bass fishing that is easy to use and adjust. Also with the bait clicker on, it seems to put too much restriction on the line which I am sure some weary cats notice fairly quickly. I live over an hour and half from nearest field and Stream so returning it may be difficult.

Perfect Size For A Boat Or Off Shore Fishing

Can handle anysize cat that i can bring in. Goung to buy one more for matching set.

Awesome Combo

Bought this combo on a whim. My first baitcaster, had success the next morning.

Alsome

First time out hocked a 50 pound blue had it dubbled over never cracked or poped this thing is alsome didn't like the 15# so put 65 on it best pole I've owned would recommend to anyone

Drag Stopped Working

Rod is decent, wouldn't mind keeping it besides the color. Reel not so much. drag issues after 2 times out. At full drag you can easily pull line out with your hand. good thing i got the 2 year warranty added.

Great Reel

Purchased this reel a few weeks ago and finally got to use it today.pulled in a 8 pound 26 inch channel catfish with ease. The clicker is awesome,i was standing 20-30 feet away and herd it over the noise from the rapids.I don't know why anyone would give this reel a bad review other then the fact that they don't know how to use a bait caster.I used the 15# line that came with it and a 3/4 ounce sinker,it cast great.

Junk

Returned the pole because we didnt noticed it had been used by some one else. The line was jamed in the gears. (this was a gift for my son) I thought maybe someone in store messed it up. Replaced it with a new one. The first cast the line coiled around the out side of the spool and jamed in the gears just like the one I retured. Took it back again. This time repaced it with a ugly stick. No probems with it.P.S. I hope they don"t put the two I returned back on the shelf. I would feel bad if someone else had to put up with that.

What A Waste!!!!

My review is very similar to the one that Big Kat wrote. The line the rod came with is weak and also wrapped around all the gears of the reel, nearly impossible to get off without chopping at it for an hour. So I re-line it with my own tes. same thing happened again goofing up the line once again after one trial cast. Now I'm tinkering with the reel trying to tighten things up to make this thing cast. A brand new pole still hasn't hit the water yet. WHAT A WASTE. Wont buy product line again.
