Overpriced, Listed Weight Is In Accurate

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought these MSR stakes because they are listed as being a quarter once lighter than another company's stake, so with 4 stakes that saves a full oz. It turns out that the weight of 0.74oz listed on moosejaws website is incorrect. The package the stakes came in is also incorrect which says about 0.8oz. On my scale they weigh 28g, or 0.98oz. 4 stakes reads 3.9oz. I calibrated the scale again just to be sure. This means they weigh the same as the other brand. I never would have bought these if I had known. I don't know how they get away with making these claims.

Excellent For Snow

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The MSR Blizzard Stakes are lightweight,easy to use, easy to pack, great stakes! They fit in my Mountain Hardwear stake bag, but are a little too long for my Northface stake bag (I searched for a stake bag for them specifically without luck and wound up sewing one.) The added confidence they give inthe snow is well worth it.
