Bet Bag So Far For Multiple Purposes

Great Pack
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This pack is built tough and a great 2 day pack. I down sized from my other pack which was a Explorer 4000 65L pack with was a lot bigger than what I needed. This pack is a lot tighter and had to give up a few Is luxury items but I saved on weight all in all. I will be using this pack for hunting and 1-2 day trips. Only complaint I have about it is the two small pouches on that back, think it would have been nice to have 1 larger pouch instead of two small ones.

Better Than Good, Less Than Great
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my fourth MR pack, what this specific pack does well at, is as a day pack with tactical flare that you can overload and stretch into a weekend, a full day hike, or a travel pack where you want something more durable than an ultra light but not so heavy duty that you regret taking it with you. The good thing about this particular layout, that I appreciate, are the outer pockets that allow quick access to smaller items you may want to access without ripping open the main body. I'm a fan of the lid pocket not having mesh like their two day assault packs and many others, as they always seem to rip through in numerous places. The fact they added water tight zippers on all pockets is a plus, at this price point, that's a must. This is a great pack if you don't mind a little tacticool styling and even better if you're using the webbing for ifak kits, pouches, or even to securely attach hatchets/kukris/ or other outdoor tools for camping/hiking. The water bottle pockets are great, both internally and externally. I have plenty of day packs in this size range that do not have supportive waist belts which is why I purchased this pack as it does a little better with weight and the ABC pocket, lid and hip belt pockets do well to organize the quick access items while on the go and traveling without having to get into the stuff sack. The reason this pack is a little less than great however, is because it lacks strap retainers on more than half of the straps. This is not a huge deal as you can easily add some velcro retainers on all the loose ends but at this price point, for a foreign made pack, at this volume, they should really have each end tied up and clean from the beginning. If you want a pack that is more modular than it is slick, more durable than it is lightweight/minimalist, or more tactical than granola, this is the pack for you. Probably not the best pack if you're going for the grey man incognito look, but if you like to rock your patches and have a versatile, day pack you don't have to worry about throwing around, with a hip belt if you decide to load it down, then this is the pack for you.
