No Strength When Side Stepping Or Pushing Off
The material round the top of the boot is lite weight however this offers no strength when to the boot when changing direction and the ankle can over rotate.

Bad Quality.
The soles of the boot became unattached around the edges almost immediately. I assume they weren't glued correctly now graas and mud gathers immediately when i start playing.

Bit Snug
The new boots are ok. I haven’t used them enough to give a good or bad, but my feet have an issue with the size. I have Tekela in the same exact size and I have some room for comfort, although the new 442’s feel a half size small. No room to move and penny sized blisters on both heels the first time I played in them. And I switched to other shoes to try to play further. Other than that they seem like good boots but I do expect a bit more from “Elite” labels.

442 Wide In Synthetic Or Other Nb Cleat?
My prior boot was a 442 in K Leather. I visited a local New Balance store to verify my correct size was a 12.5 wide I only walked around the house in these but they felt great and a litte lighter then my prior 442s. Had I not been wanting to try a different cleat design vs conical studs on the 442, I would have kept these instead of going with the Furon v8. One thing I have noticed while wearing the Furon is the knitted upper provides less protection when your foot is stepped on but the opposite side of that is how much closer it feels to playing the ball barefoot. I'm a big fan of all the New Balance boots for players with wide feet. If your foot is wide, you know what I mean. Whichever boot you choose you will be happy you gave New Balance a try.
