Outstanding!

The shoe is just unique. Great looking (big attention to details), comfortable & carefully executed, the competition is just left behind, price justified. I ordered 3 different colors, and the quality of all 3 of them was outstanding. I was used to 996 over past 10 years, especially because of its clay version, but the model started to be too narrow for me over the years, pity! This shoe is very stable, especially if you have had ankle injuries which was my case. You feel very comfortable from the first training on. I would like the shoe to be more aggressive as I remember it was the case for my 996s. I tried them on rebound ace and carpet courts, the feeling is perfect. On clay the feeling was still great but a bit less impressive so far (in winter the clay isn’t optimal indoors). I’m wondering if a clay version of the sole could one day be available.

Amazing Supportive For Hard Courts

This shoe is perfect for tennis and pickleball alike. The high back provides atrong support in the ankles especially if you are prone to spraining them. Highly durable soles and materials that still look great with daily use on hard courts after 2 months. Very comfortable all round. The B width feels a bit too snug for regular width feet but the D width is a true wide width.

Love These Shoes

10/10 shoes. Great value, very well made, alway a sale. Only complaint is they are flat and take a minute for my feet to “break in” but would buy again in a second!

Sturdy, Long Lasting, Comfortable Once Broken In.

After having tried multiple tennis shoes with wider toe boxes and shoes that run on the wider side, I finally decided to try the CG2. A couple friends already had them and liked them. This is the tennis shoe I went into once recovering from bunion surgery on one foot. The other foot also has less severe bunion ; I did order the D width and it worked out because the surgery foot was still somewhat inflamed, and taller (thicker) because of it. The other foot slightly roomier but new calluses helped to adjust for excess lateral movement inside the shoe. It did take 10-12 practices before they broke in. Also the extra cush supportive foam is somewhat thermal and also traps heat— this really my only complaint but may be nice for others. The low-hi does offer great support without being restrictive. The sole lasted longer than any shoe I’ve had so far and The practiced and played 3-6 x/week hard court. I will order this shoe again after I cycle through low top 960’s D width which have been a real witch to break in- about 2 months same rate of play. After I washed the well worn CG2 in the washing machine, the very worn soles cracked. These were great shoes, I am 55 YO female advanced beginner and wear size 8. They were donated today.

Different Fit

Completely different fit than every New Balance I have ever had. Could not squeeze my foot into it. Like the look, have worn several styles of New Balance 7.5… this was so tight and small.
